After a season marked by impactful leadership and growth, Brian De Vos has concluded his tenure as Executive Director of Good Samaritan on September 19, 2025. De Vos has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission and expanding its reach within the community.
“There is a growing need in Ottawa County to support residents who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of losing their housing,” says De Vos. “Good Samaritan plays a vital role in addressing housing instability by empowering individuals to achieve self-sufficiency, maintain employment, and secure stable housing. This not only benefits families and children, but also strengthens our community and workforce.”
To ensure continuity and stability for the organization, the Board of Directors has appointed Erin Kamphuis as Interim Director. Previously serving as the Director of Finance & Administration, Kamphuis brings a wealth of experience and insight to the role as Good Samaritan enters this new chapter.
With new initiatives underway—including the launch of its Family Shelter Program—Good Samaritan is poised to continue its mission of compassionate service and community support. The organization invites continued prayers and encouragement from the public during this time of change.
